How to Grow

Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

Gorgeous and prolific

Not only was the one of my first to bloom and most prolific, it’s been my absolute favorite for bouquets. Beautiful form and ridiculously long, strong stems.

What a surprise!

I must admit, I prefer bright colored flowers. Bought Mt. Hood just to try something outside of my color preference a couple years ago and this one has never been a disappointment. Last summer (2024) it was the first to bloom and this summer (2025) it grew beautifully, once again, under the worst of weather conditions. If your looking for a white dahlia with sturdy stems for cutting and continual blooms, this one is for you.

Beautiful!

This one is gorgeous! Strong stems, perfect for cutting. Continuous blooms until freeze. I just cut what will probably be my last bouquet for my Thanksgiving table. I can’t stress enough how lovely this dahlia is.

STUNNING!

I don't always like white dahlias, and I don't always love formal dahlias. And yet - this dahlia is breathtaking. It is a real stunner. It should receive much more attention IMO! Just gorgous, long, straight, strong stems - wow. I grew 212 dahlias this year, and 105 difference varieties - and this was absolutely one of the stars.

Unusual

Unusual. I know that’s a weird thing to say about a white flower. But I have approximately 15 white Dahlia in my collection.
This one is unique, the rounded petals And it’s magnolia like fleshy-ness Really set this one apart. Very pleased.

Perfect Proliferate White Cut Flower!

All the high rated white dahlias were sold out so I was able to get this one. It was stunning, proliferate, and had perfect pedals and sturdy stems for cut flowers!!! I'm afraid to post this as I don't want it to be sold out next time I order it. I live in hot north Georgia. First to bloom and my best!

Gorgeous

2023 was my first time growing Dahlias. Mt. Hood was magnificent! I pinched it back and staked. I cut the last flowers right before the 28 degree night. Got so many flowers and the foliage was green. Looks great in flower arrangements.

Stunning

In dahlia groups I can’t believe this one doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s absolutely stunning. If pinching the branches get long and can get quite too heavy so stake it. But the blooms are huge and stand on long stems. Stems are strong. This dahlia deserves to have a home in every garden. Have not seen big issues that some white blooms get.
