  • "All of the dahlias that I ordered are blooming beautifully. Gitty Up is my new favorite - interesting color combination and a little blooming machine. Thanks for providing such excellent tubers. A fan for life!"

  • "I wanted to tell you how wonderfully your dahlias are performing in my garden, despite the fact that they have had less than perfect conditions! I live in humid Georgia and all but the biggest bloomed plants are prolifically producing gorgeous flowers. I'm new to dahlias but they couldn't be easier or more rewarding. Thanks so much--"

Dark Purple is very nice
Jennifer (Ann Arbor, MI) 7/28/2016 8:56 PM
Taboo has very velvety looking petals, it makes you want to touch them! In my garden, they look much deeper and darker than the photo - more of a merlot color. Similar to Fremon't memory but more organized form. Petals are very nicely shaped. The only reason I'm giving only 4 stars is because it is next to Gitt's Attention and Jason Matthew and it is putting out far less flowers than those two. Maybe it will pick up later in the season. Still, very nice dark purple - looks good with Mikayla Miranda or Cafe au lait, or chilson's pride.
Better than expected!!

This was a "gift" to me which turned out to be one of my favorites this year! Beautiful, vibrant color & lots of late season blooms. Blooms last about 1-1/2 - 2 weeks on plant before drooping out (color never fades); Last about 4 days cut, with fresh water & flower food (same with water alone)
much darker

Taboo was part of the cut flower collection for 2013. It bloomed well – but not a profuse bloomer – relatively early, 4-5’ plant and tubers multiply moderately. This season I hope the progeny tubers do well. The flower is much darker than the photo.
Beautiful in the garden, BUT....

I planted this instead of Boogie Nites this year. While it is beautiful in the garden, I have not been blown away. Boogie Nites has been more prolific and had a better vase life, in the past.
