  • "I wanted to tell you how wonderfully your dahlias are performing in my garden, despite the fact that they have had less than perfect conditions! Ok for garden

Flowers average 6" for me. The first bloom on each plant was nice; however, following blooms were smaller & had a very prominent nod. The stems were short, thin, & weak. This one just didn't work for me.
Love this!!

Big plant with lots of beautiful white fluffy flowers! Even tho they say the bigger bloom sizes don’t have as many blooms - this had a ton of flowers!
Mixed Feelings
Karen Muse (Jackson, MI) 10/5/2018 2:26 PM
I planted two of the Snowbound dahlias this year. The plants started blooming fairly early (first week of August). There were lots of beautiful fluffy white blossoms, 6 to 7 inches across. But unfortunately the stems were thin and weak, and a great many bent or broke. The plants have also been more susceptible to problems with insect pests than my other dahlias. They lost a lot of foliage. If you grow these be prepared to be very proactive with the spraying. It's a pity such beautiful flowers are produced on a less-than-stellar plant. Between the bugs and the broken stems I can't see growing them again.

Very nice, almost true white flower. It is great against the riot of color that are my other dahlias.
stunning and robust
Lorinda Gautier (Boise, ID) 2/27/2017 8:39 AM
Planted late, devoured by earwigs shortly after emergence, came back to be the most vigorous dahlia in the garden. The stems we're strong and the blooms were absolutely stunning. It took a couple of very light frosts that browned dahlias growing next to it without batting an eye. My daughter wore a lovely blossom in her hair to a ball at the end of October. I dug up lots of tubers, too, that are wintering nicely. I cannot wait to grow this beautiful dahlia again!! Oh, it had TONS of blooms, too. The horrible experiences that little tuber had in June would never have been guessed by anyone who saw the plant in September.
